Siam Ruby

This engagement ring was created for a client who had once hoped to propose with his grandmother’s Burmese ruby. When the stone was lost, the commission became a way to carry its memory forward in a new form.

He was drawn to organic, fluid forms, with diamonds scattered along the band like points of light. Shaped to follow the curve of the finger, the ring has a natural ease and sculptural presence.

In homage to his grandmother’s stone, a Siam ruby was selected for its depth, rarity, and richly saturated colour. Sourced from a now-depleted mine in Thailand, it was chosen for the resonance it held.

Set in 18k yellow gold and entirely handcrafted in Belgium, the ring reflects both the client’s vision and the memory that inspired it.
