Cedrus Libani

This engagement ring was created for a client who wanted more than a beautiful jewel. He wanted a symbol that could reflect both his fiancée’s Lebanese heritage and the love story they were building together.

The design first began with architectural references from Beirut, before finding its true direction in the cedar of Lebanon and, more specifically, its pine cone. Chosen for its associations with strength, longevity, and deep roots, the pine cone became the starting point for the ring’s sculptural form.

Translating this natural shape into a jewel required careful balance. The proportions were refined, the curves softened, and the structure reconsidered until the ring felt both delicate and comfortable to wear.

Entirely handcrafted in Belgium, Cedrus Libani carries the symbolism of the cedar cone into a piece created to mark a deeply personal moment. A custom pine cone-shaped box was also designed for the proposal, extending the story beyond the ring itself.
